Launching a Rocket of Impact and Legacy

Your project launches and gains its own momentum, carrying you past the doubt that stalls it.

That's the feeling right before you put something out into the world: all the work is done, and still you hesitate at the edge, wondering if it's ready, if you are.

This session works with the image of a rocket ship on the launch pad. You imagine your sleep and rest as the fuel and maintenance a launch depends on, then shift between being the ship and being the pilot as the countdown runs. Each stage of the rocket falls away once its job is done, just as the early stages of your project need less of you once they are finished. There is also a stretch of time on a beach in the Whitsundays, giving your mind the kind of rest that makes the rest of the work possible.

It runs about 21 minutes, and the sense of lift tends to stay with people well after the countdown ends.
