Hypnosis for Anxiety - The Anxiety Paradox
Acting with courage even while an anxious thought is still running through your mind.
That's the moment you know so well, when your body says panic before your thoughts have finished forming, and it feels like anxiety is something happening to you rather than something you built yourself.
This session works with the idea that anxiety is created through quiet, unconscious evaluations rather than something that arrives from outside. It uses the picture of a child checking under the bed for monsters, realising the fear disappears the moment it's actually looked at, as a way of helping you test anxious predictions instead of avoiding them. Alongside this, you're guided to slow your breathing and release tension through your neck and shoulders, so the body and the thoughts start working together rather than against each other.
It runs about 19 minutes, and it tends to feel different each time you return to it, as the evidence for what you can handle starts to build for itself.
